Happy New Year!! This special post doesn’t have a timestamp so I just have to tell you that it was posted at midnight (Eastern Standard Time)! This year New Years Eve fell on a Sunday and if you know me personally, you know that every Sunday I go over to my Great-Grandma’s house for dinner and family fun (and also to catch up on homework). So of course, my family and I spent New Year’s at my Great-Grandma’s house! I think it’s such a wonderful way to ring in the new year surrounded by my family with an addition of my boyfriend (who has become an addition to our family). This post is a personal essay titled "Just Be." I wrote this personal essay as a Creative Writing project. It was inspired by several spoken word poems. It's about love, patience, forgiveness, kindness, breathing, learning, and acknowledgement. I hope you enjoy it, please leave comments below either adding onto this piece or just leaving your own opinion!
This story that I’m working on was originally created as a Creative Writing project and has stemmed into a chapter story about mystery, romance, and paranormal events. There are several chapters to it, but I will only be posting 2 chapters at a time. Keep an eye on "The Ghost Within Me" tag under "Subjects" for more chapters, I hope you enjoy it. Please leave me comments so I can improve my story writing!
I’ve had a thrill of a life and many goals ahead of me. Of course, my life has had its ups and it’s downs, but I try to now focus on everything good throughout my life and keep a positive attitude. My life is currently stress-free, and I’m not saying that it will stay at way, but it’s definitely helped me to focus on the good things and finish my homework as quickly as I can. I’ve thought of and begun acting on a multitude of different goals for my life. On May 27th, 2017 I graduated from Burris Laboratory School. The graduation ceremony was held at the Ball State University Ball Gym in the evening. I had so many people who came to the ceremony to support my graduation and it made me feel so incredibly loved and happy. It gave me such a large boost of confidence which was highly needed because I gave a speech (You can view my written draft of my speech at tinyurl.com/WrittenGraduationSpeech and a video of my speech that my friend, Dakota Gaither, recorded at tinyurl.com/GraduationSpeechVideo). The amazing people in my life that came to support me at my graduation ceremony was my parents, Asher, my maternal grandparents from Texas, the Wolfe Family, Matthew, Dakota, my great-aunt, great-grandma, great-uncle, and one of my cousins.
